COEC adventures

__Old Man River__

Last February at the Toronto Outdoor Adventure show I had a young guy visit our booth. We had all our Gransfors axes there as well as Woolpower thermal wear. Brett mentioned that he had owned a couple of our axes in the past but had lost them when his boat capsized.

A month or so ago I received a call from Brett where he explained to me how he was getting ready to set out on his next adventure. Along with a dedicated group of friends, Brett Rogers has already navigated both the Yukon and Mackenzie rivers using home made rafts. The trip down the Yukon caught the attention of "The Survivorman" himself Les Stroud who is currently editing footage from that trip and narrating it. Please click here to download a trailer!

Their next challenge was to build a big york row boat and take it down the entire distance of the Mississippi river, from the top all the way to the gulf of Mexico. Les Stroud is also working on the production of this Mississippi project.

Brett called looking for some Gransfors axes for his trip. We wanted to support this great venture and reached out to our suppliers. Not only did we set him up with Gransfors axes but a few other things too; Woolpower thermal wear Powerfilm solar and a couple of sweet Lolk paddles.

He picked up the axes and thermal wear from the store and we had the paddles and solar sent to him.

Please visit his site and support him. As you will see he's taking this journey with a cause in mind!
