Frontier Adventure Racing
Frontier Adventure Racing is an organizer of multi-discipline outdoor adventure races, based in Canada.
Events are located in various rugged Canadian destinations: the rugged rock and rivers of the Ottawa River Valley , the quintessential Canadian Shield, the Coast Mountains and rainforests of Prince Rupert, British Columbia, and others.
The 2007 Season
The 2007 season opens with two distinct races at Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, Ontario.
Frontier Adventure Challenge, Saturday, May 5
A bike-paddle-trek race, on a fun and challenging course designed by EcoChallenge veteran Lawrence Foster.
The race features cash prizes, and all entrants receive a free entry to the Raid the North race, as well as a pre-race social and post-race party.
Sault College Adventure Challenge, Sunday, May 6
A first in Canada: an adventure race for high school students only. Teams of teens will tackle 30 km of wilderness terrain using mountain bikes, canoes and trekking.
Celebrity instructors, including Les Stroud (Survivorman), and endurance athlete Ray Zahab (who just ran across the Sahara) will provide free clinics on Saturday.
